Hey Ya’ll!
I will be showing you how to make this gorgeous fabric garland for your Valentine’s Day DIY Decor!
What you will need:
- 3-4 different fabrics (1/2 yard each)
- 2 rolls of Jute (15 FT)
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
I purchased my fabric from Walmart and the Jute from Hobby Lobby.
SN: I just love the cupcake fabric! It has little rhinestones on it! Its so CUTE!
To begin you will need to cut each piece of fabric into 2″ x 10″ pieces. My fabric measured about 20″ – 21″ so I just double folded it and then cut it. Make sure you have a good sharp pair of scissors for cutting the fabric.
Once your fabric is cut, its time to start making the garland
NOTE: This was slightly time consuming due to the fact the fabric was not double sided, so I had to take care with each piece I tied on and make sure it was right side up to show the pattern.
I began by placing my pieces about 2 or 3 inches apart and I used a pattern with the fabrics throughout the entire strand of garland.
I covered one entire strand of jute, which is 15 feet. I then did another 2 or 3 feet on the next strand with the leftover material. See the leftover strand below.
Total Time: 4 hours
This garland can be used on a mantle or in a photoshoot or on a tree
I have a few more Valentine’s DIY tutorials coming soon!
Until Next Time –
